Sabine's lesson program is based upon her philosophy that you, 'never stop learning dressage' and critical to the mastery of dressage is the amount of time that can be committed to learning. When feasible, Sabine accepts riders of all levels who are able to dedicate time to a series of lessons. Her lessons are best suited to riders who have to desire to not only improve their riding, but deepen their relationship with their horse. What is done or not done while in the saddle is just a small part of riderís responsibility to know their horse. Expectations of student riders are to practice what they learn a minimum of twice a week, work on developing the communication with the horse through their aids, keep a journal of lessons covered and to come prepared with questions.
Sabine values variety for the horse and rider, therefore lessons may be in small groups, on the lounge, given in either the indoor or outdoor arena, include a hack out, learning how to keep the horse focused on the rider or riding specific test movements.
Each lesson critical feedback is given on the effectiveness of the riderís seat and its impact on the riderís ability to communicate freely using the other aids. In addition, Sabine provides clear and specific positive feedback immediately upon observing improvement or the proper use of the aids.
Lessons are $100 and vary from 45 minutes to 1 hour.
